Themes to Watch For

As you read, trace the great words John repeats: life, light, believe, truth, and love. Notice the seven "I am" statements, where Jesus calls Himself the bread of life, the light of the world, the good shepherd, and the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Each one reveals more of who He is and what He offers.
